On June 11th 1963, Thích Quảng Đức, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, sat down in the middle of a busy intersection in Saigon, covered himself in gasoline and He then ignited a match, and set himself on fire. Đức burned to death in a matter of minutes, and he was immortalized in a famous photograph taken by a reporter who was in Vietnam in order to photograph the war. All those who saw this spectacle were taken by the fact that Duc did not make a sound while burning to death. Đức was protesting President Ngô Đình Diệm’s administration for oppressing the Buddhist religion.
Wow,total respect for that guy.

Crying and all its stupid human response.
When you can feel it at the back of your throat, the stress of it all just building up and up till you utter a few words or try to breathe slowly out and everything just crumbles under the weight of all your sadness. Your chest aches as your heart beats so fast and feels so broken that it’s like it’ll never be full again. Your eyes crunch up as your soul is just empied out with all your tears as they seep slowly and quietly down your face. The loudest thing is your heart breaking and yet, it’s as quiet as the heavy air around you, silent and dead.
