Haytham is coming back.
And you know what that means.
More cutscenes of him.
You get to listen to his voice once again.
He’d probably laugh for once.
Please. I actually want to hear my darling laugh at least once. Maybe a soft chuckle even.
Just makE HIM LAUGH. LET HIM BE HAPPY.
LET US SEE HIM LIVE.
He kind of chuckled in this scene…
if finland’s country border isnt called the finnish line then i have nothing to live for
Watching A Series of Unfortunate Events really gets me down because I have so many headcanons from both the books and the movie about Uncle Monty being supportive of the kids’ aspirations and interests and of Aunt Josephine coming out of her shell after a year of being with these encouraging, darling children and in return teaching them everything she knows(especially grammar) because she’s so darn intelligent but none of that happens because everyone’s dead and the ending for the books is unsatisfying.
They might be unsatisifying endings but boy do they keep you on the edge through to the very end (and not even the last book made a hell a lot of sense). But that’s the beauty of Lemony Snicket’s writing - even on the back of every book does it clearly say “Don’t read this book because it’s so bloody depressing and you’d spend more of your time reading a happy book etc.”
And that’s why, despite how awfully depressing the books were with everyone either being the baddie or dying some horrible death, it shows the bond between the kids grow and you really grow super fond of them (I did anyway), and it was my absolutely favourite children’s series even to this day.
Also Uncle Monty was still my favourite character and his death was the worst because he was so genuinely interested in the children’s hobbies and he was a cool guy :(
I don’t understand american school years what the fuck is a freshman or a sophomore why do you have these words instead of the numbers
